P.G.A. Professional, Glen Robinson is based at St. Helens Bay and Tuskar Rock Golf Clubs.Following discussions with Management at the Clubs, Glen will be in a position to develop his career as a Club Professional, while also taking part in his sport, as a Professional Golfer.
Glen started his professional career in 1999 as an assistant to Damien Mc Grane in Wexford golf club. During his time at Wexford he built an excellent reputation in tuition, as a player and indeed in every aspect of the game. Since his qualification as a P.G.A professional in 2004 he has continued very successfully his teaching and playing career.
From 2005 - 2007 Glen was attached to Coollattin Golf Club and since then has been teaching at Killiane Castle Driving Range. Some of the highlights of his career include finishing 4th in the Irish region order of merit in 2007 booking a place in Irish Open at Adare Manor in 2008. Also in 2007 he narrowly missed a place in the final of the European Tour School in Arcos Gardens Jerez Spain.
Glen has also had numerous wins on the Irish Region Circuit and is a very respected professional around the country.
Glen will operates from both clubs, using the Teaching Academy at the Tuskar Rock Club and both Shop outlets. He will also have a club servicing facility at St. Helens Bay. These two growing golf Clubs are an ideal base for Glen to build up a solid business, giving him a unique career opportunity with over 350 members in Tuskar and almost 700 in St. Helens, not taking into account over 300 junior members also.
He will enjoy having one of the best teaching facilities in Co. Wexford on his doorstep, being able to make full use of the Range, Practice Bunker and Chipping area, and Practice Putting Green.
His professional skills and teaching abilities will be applied to helping the two clubs prepare for inter Club competitions. There is no doubt that his enthusiasm for the job will create a very competitive atmosphere in the Clubs, encouraging competition golf, while ensuring members enjoy the social advantages of the sport also.
While Glen will be spending as much time as possible giving lessons, he will be a huge marketing bonus to St. Helen's Bay and Tuskar Rock, as he intends representing Golf & Leisure Parcs in Ireland and the U.K. especially.
He will be giving his greatest attention to his teaching career, attracting a wide audience for the exciting new lesson structures he is putting in place.
Ladies who intend taking up the sport will be offered very attractive packages in group and individual sessions at times to suit everyone. Special membership options will be offered to ladies on both courses.
