Golf Focus - IGCMA


The Irish Golf & Club Managers' Association (IGCMA) was formed in 2010 by the coming together of The Irish Association of Golf Club Secretaries and the CMAE-Irish region. The IGCMA aims to represent professional club managers in the Golf, Tennis, Yachting, Leisure and Dining Club sectors.


Membership of the IGCMA gives the following benefits:
Professional education
Golf and social & networking opportunities

Among the events currently organised by the Association, are:
Annual Golf Fixtures: March - AGM and Golf, April - Captain, Secretaries, Professional, Green keeper Team Event, September - Presidents Prize, November - Hampers Event

Regional events also take place throughout the year. The secretaries in Munster hold golf outings in August and November and the Leinster secretaries hold a Christmas lunch every year.

Representative Matches: Irish Golf Club Secretaries v English Golf Club Secretaries, Irish Golf Club Secretaries v Scottish Golf Club Secretaries, Northern Secretariess v Southern Secretaries

Membership of international bodies such as the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and the Golf Club Managers Association GCMA (UK), where applicable. The annual subscription to the IGCMA is €200.
