Jim McBride, a native of Tipperary, joined the club in 2008, bridging a gap of fifty years without a club professional in Lucan. Jim started in Thurles Golf Club before joining the Heath Golf Club as Assistant professional.
He qualified as a full professional in 1999, before moving to Austria to work as head teaching pro. In 2001, Jim was appointed club professional at Ballykisteen Golf Club before moving to Celbridge Driving Range for a number of years.
Lucan’s pro-shop boasts all the main brands in both clothing and golf equipment at competitive prices. If something is not available in the shop, please ask the club pro and he will be happy to help. Jim McBride also offers lessons to sharpen up your golf game.
